In October of 2016 I created a series entitled "The Beauty of Blind Cats" using the cats from Milo's Sanctuary.  When I initially wanted to adopt a cat in December of 2014,  I asked if the shelter had any special needs cats and was told they did not.  I later learned that special needs cats are often deemed "un-adoptable" and euthanized.  A few months later, a blind cat named Regis was surrendered to the shelter and I fell in love with him.  He was rescued by Best Friends Animal Society and, subsequently, Milo's Sanctuary.  When I inquired about Regis and learned of Milo's Sanctuary, a rescue that specializes in blind cats, I knew I had to collaborate with them.  I have since visited Milo's numerous times and it has become not only my favorite rescue with which to volunteer, but my favorite place to be.  This series also went viral and was covered by outlets like The Huffington Post and The Daily Mail.
